they can either shave, wax or pluck.

as a girl, i've tried shaving & waxing.. but planning to go for permanent hair removal soon so there's no need to shave or wax anymore..

some epilators can do the job too. wax to some lady are too ex but very effective. other than that is shaving lor. there is also veet (damn smelly and dont do the job well).
