Do people really take pride in spreading such idiocy and paranoia? Calls for flexibility and improvements to the system, yes, I understand that. But “WHERE HAS OUR MONEY GONE?” and “TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY WHERE?” ??? I mean, seriously? Have these people done any effing reading at all? Fed up with these people. The government may have done its part in driving Singapore to this stage, but these people should also be ashamed of themselves because their hands are equally dirty. Absolutely fed up. Also: How easy is it to stand in front of a crowd and shout platitudes. I also can leh! What if people misuse their money, starve and have to beg for government handouts in their old age? What then? Are you really prepared to have the government throw up its hands and say, well, you asked for your money? Or will you just bitch about that as well? You may think the current system is paternalistic, but what’s your better alternative? No interest in discussing these issues at all, just know how to stand on a stage and squawk about “better tomorrow” and “new beginning” and other such BS.
