I would also be in AC early March, keeping fingers crossed no ban and no quarantine
I am also going in the first week of march and will not book any hotels till clear immigration, only for 3 days stay , not weeks though.
No idea if the immigration chop is with words quarantine for 14 days.
Will check with jetstar if 14 days quarantine applies to singaporean at the end of the month as cathay airline has issued advisory for Hong Kong residents that they will be denied entry

My company was closed for 3 weeks due to the CNY holidays and owners going USA for family matters. So me and my PRC colleague decide to use this 3 weeks for a vacation as she is not returning to PRC for the CNY. Her sister who is studying in SG also decide to join us with her local BF.
All 4 of us spent 1st week in LOS (BKK/Patts) no problem. Me & colleague then spent 2nd week in Vietnam (Ca Mau/Danang/HCM) no problem. But her sister had to return to SG with BF because he had to settle some work matters. We agreed to meet up in Cebu for our final week. Me & colleague flew into Mactan airport from HCM.... arrived and cleared immigration no problems at all even though colleague was holding a PRC passport.
Her sister & BF flew from Changi into Mactan and almost got quarantined even though they had not been to anywhere near China in the past 6 months. They were given a choice.... accept 14 day quarantine if they want to remain in PI or take the next available flight out of Mactan if do not accept quarantine. They had no fever or any symptons.... reason given was that because they HAD ARRIVED FROM SINGAPORE so they had to be quarantined.
They declined to be quarantined and book flight back to SG which was next day. But the biggest joke was they were allowed to move freely around Mactan while waiting for their flight which they spent their time at the Mactan Casino.
Dunno what logic those immigration people use?
I did mention in earlier post that Singapore has been placed in same category as China.... and all arrivals from Singapore are to be quarantined except for returning PI nationals and long stay pass holders. This was directive sent to BI by Head of the so-called Covid19 taskforce. But with confusion over who has actual authority with several such taskforces formed..... not surprise at the confusion on the ground.
I have heard (though not confirmed) that in some entry ports..... you can "apply" for a special entry pass upon paying for it and self-declaring you are free from the Covid19 virus.... no need to go quarantine too.

Current rule is - in black and white, if the person has been in China, from China, or transit in China / HK within the last 2 weeks, No boarding allowed. That's from BI.

they lifted the Taiwan ban, after Taiwan threatened actions. Don't forget, there's 150,000 filipinos living in Taiwan !!
Palace shrugged it off when asked it was due to the One China policy they decided on the ban, in the first place.
BTW, there's 4 patients, under observation, in Benguet, for having transit via Taiwan, including a 11 month old baby.
So far, in Cordillera / Benguet, zero cases.

And don't forget, the president is also having his finger in all the operations. Though the secretary is a doctor by profession, he's been a paper pusher too long, and is also swaying left and right.
As of now, lot of provinces have been asked to monitor visitors. My barangay came and asked for my picture, finger print etc, told them - I already submitted to the city hall, they can retrieve it from there :P and then went to city hall and asked if it is a city direction - city hall says NO, only if you are a tourist / visitor, and the hotel has to do it.
Coincidentally I walked in and out of a short time hotel, on Thursday, signed in as Roger Moor, and no questions as always. Girl - no questions asked also. She came, stayed and left.

My colleague is from China holding PRC passport.... we flew in from HCM.... allowed entry with no problem.
Her sister also from China holding PRC passport.... flew in from SGP..... told to quarantine or go back.
Both were living in SGP for past 6 months and had never gone anywhere near to China. As to why different outcomes for both of them...... I can only conclude the BI look at their last port of call history to make decision.
Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic) PI
Reporting live from AC having touched down at Clark airport 2.5 hrs ago from Changi. My Cebu Pacific flight 5J 538 was half empty with most passengers philippines nationals returning to the PI. Dint see any chinese except for me & my buddy. There was 1 angmo whom we later found out was an expat living in PI past 20 yrs. There was a group of 5 indians comprising mix of SG/MY and are off duty Aetos policemen on leave.
Upon touchdown at DMIA airport.... disembark and locals / foreigners are led to separate entry lanes into the building. There were only 8 of us in the foreigner lane and ushered into a room. Scanned for temperature and told to fill a questionnaire. Once completed questionnaire proceed to immigration counter. We were the 1st in line and 1st question ask was "are you chinese?" .... we replied "chinese singaporeans". We were told to step aside while they call someone to interview us. Next was the Angmo...... cleared to go after showing his longterm visa. Next was the 5 indian policemen...... cleared to go after producing their warrant cards.
Finally a female officer in facemask came, took our passports and asked to follow her to a room. Inside the room she start to speak in mandarin to us...... until we interrupt and said we don't understand mandarin..... we are Singaporeans can speak english to us?
She fell quiet for awhile...... then explained to us since we are arrivals from Singapore..... we are required to undergo quarantine at NCC for 14 days. We explained we our trip is 3 days only and we cannot stay for 14 days and ask is there any other solution?
She thought for awhile..... and gave us the following options.
a) buy an immediate return ticket back to singapore;
b) apply for a special pass;
c) accept the quarantine but they will release us early for our return flight instead of completing 14 days.
We ask more details about the special pass....... it is a pass issued for temporary stay after medical checkup and clearance from the medic. We also need to sign a declaration that we are Covid19 free and never been to China past 2 weeks. We opted for option b.
We had to pay the application fee which was 3200p each and then led to the medic in another room for the checkup. KNN ..... checkup was just another temperature taking exercise and a mouth swab. We were given a piece of paper after signing the declaration and told that is our special pass......it is written entirely in tagalog and at the bottom is a red stamp in english...."CLEARED OF CORONAVIRUS"..... lol
Finally left the airport...... we touchdown @ 2040 hrs and left the airport @2215 hrs and 6400p poorer.
In conclusion......all this noise about quarantine is just another money making exercise for the authorities.
Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic) PI
Our troubles did not end after leaving the airport. We had booking with Pacific Breeze hotel...... but on arrival found they had cancelled our booking and refused us room claiming they are fully booked. But very clear to see that is not true as there are not many visitors. I suspect is because we are chinese and they have mainly angmo guests staying there. Nevermind we easily found another accomodation at the Central hotel nearby. Initially they were also wary of us until we explained we are NOT from china and showed our special pass from the airport. Guess that helped as after reading the pass they accepted our booking.

Heard from pinoy colleagues that they would also need to contribute if they go back from singapore for holidays
They also told me that the so called fee may be raised to deter singaporean from landing there, which indirectly is a travel abn

Typical pinoy mentality..... using every opportunity to line their own pockets
Everytime have disasters like typhoons, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, disease outbreaks..... these disasters become money making opportunities for them. I think all these pinoys go to church everytime instead of prayers for peace and safety for all their mankind... may actually be praying hard for disasters to hit the PI as often as possible...... just so they can turn it into money making opportunities.
I stopped donating to Red Cross now if the fundraising is for the PI.

There has been a proliferation of filipino groups asking for donations every weekends for all sorts of causes. I am sure many of these groups dun have any license for these fundraising activities.
Many years ago our school children had to sacrifice their saturdays to go out and participate in similar fundraisers until the government put a stop to it.
Now these foreigners have taken over and it's damn irritating to be accosted every weekend by these fundraisers.
