Basically,i feel we do need another voice in the parliament but more importantly it boils down to the calibre of candidates the parties fielded.In short I believe there are good candidates regardless of opposition or the ruling party,likewise there are bad candidates too.

Come election time...I would vote for the party that can best run the country. If I am not happy with any party, I would rather cast a wasted vote than vote in a incompetent party.

It took so many years to build this country to where it is today. Last thing i want is to vote out of spite and let the country go down in ruins...

My thoughts:
Coming from someone who had resided in the same place same Aljunied GRC since 1995 to now.
1997 GE - bypass
2001 GE - bypass
2006 GE - voted for opposition but PAP won
Headed by George Yeo (GY), PAP won both elections as no strong opposition contest for this GRC.
But are his team good in governing this area?
Mine HDB areas' surface carparks had all the potholes and cracks = no repairs.
Complain to town-council on the many birds droppings = arranged for shooter to bang-bang the birds away (once only)
Meet the MP seasons = only twice but both times didn't see GY. Guess he view his country to country diplomacy >>> important than meet his residents.

2011 GE - again voted for opposition, and this time WP won.
Complacency? Yah, maybe thats why lost GRC to WP.
And hows performance of WP from 2011 to now?
Same old story: carparks potholes and cracks, bird-droppings still there for all to see. Only good thing is a fresh coat of paint to the blocks' facades.

I don't see / read too much into how the various parties govern the country (big picture).
Rather I see how they manage their own SMC / GRC (small picture). If they can manage their own constituency well enough, collectively they should be alright for the big picture. No point talking loud during election campaign on what they will do if they win or how they can represent the people or having another voice etc etc.

Come 2015/2016 GE - who will i vote?

The PWP (Population White Paper) to increase the current Singapore Population from 5.3 Million to 6.9 Million in Yr2020 & thereafter eventually to 10.0 Million people is nothing but a "Population Ponzi Scheme" created just to enrich & benefit these Self-Serving & Self-Glorifying "Vampires" from the Pro-Alien Party.

As the things are going , the PAP will still be able to form the government for the next 2 generations . Reduce their share of their votes to maybe around 55 per cent . Make them work harder for our votes . Send a strong signal to them that it is Singaporeans who vote them in . They should not take us for granted . From what I can see Singapore political will slowly develop into a 2 party system. Nice to see the opposition parties really working hard for our votes as well.
