I think it is CNY surcharge. I went to Gold Point Spa today and they charged me RM174. I normally pay RM136 for the same masseuse and package. When I queried the cashier she replied me is raya price from Saturday until today. Tomorrow is back to normal pricing of RM136. So I think ZON should be same same.

I used to get surcharge for my haircut few days before the CNY. To avoid the surcharge and long queue (need wait 1 hour), I will only cut after the CNY. Similar surcharge also apply to few kopitiams which oredi open on 2nd day of CNY.
And since I don't pay and my friend settled the bill with surcharge, they don't care as it was once a year gathering and reunion for us. And for the hotel spas and local massage I never visit during CNY, anyway IMO it's not worth to visit with their limited stocks and long wait too.

Yeah. Learnt a lesson today not to go during festive holidays. Only have 5 girls working today and waited 1.5 hrs in the queue for a slot even though I called in advance to book my regular masseuse. My booking was 4pm but was told had to wait as the earlier customers extended their sessions. To make today worse I was stuck in the causeway jam back to Singapore for another 2.5 hrs.... damn bad day today
