The proper analogy is: You find a new chicken rice stall open near your house, food is the best you've ever tasted. Soon you become regular customer till the uncle recognize you. Eventually you get perks like no need queue, he remember your order without you saying (白鸡腿，加饭, 不要皮) and he make chit chat with you when no customer around, simple things like "how are you, you working/studying etc). You and the seller already have some KC going on

looks like my chicken rice seller went back to hometown, never to return to Singapore.

Will I ever find chicken rice as tasty as this?

How many lousy chicken rice do I have to endure till I can find one that is even 75% as tasty as that one.



On the bright side, I haven't had the mood to eat chicken rice for weeks, now I have all this money idk what to do with

ps I really had this problem with REAL chicken rice. Uncle retired when the rent went up, last time used to eat his one 3x a week at minimum, now at most I eat once a week and don't enjoy it at all. The only one I consider to be a 'worthy successor' is 1 hour away from my house and only 75% as good. That was almost 10 years ago
