i have a different view

she rejected u before because u were not good enough. Isnt that the same for all of us? we cant possibly accept anyone who like us. We only choose based on certain critieria ie looks, qualification, figure etc. If an ugly girl last time suddenly become pretty now, would u change your decision?

this is different from being together and then ditching u. if a girl left her bf for someone better, then i say dont take back. but this case not even together in the first place. now that u have upgraded, of course chances will
be improved.

Women like to pretend that they are not as shallow as men when it comes to selecting a partner, but throw in an attractive man of value they will also fight each other for that guy. Got $ got physique & decent looking is the benchmark these days.
The more important question is whether this girl will leave u or cheat on you if she sees something better or more interesting. You won’t know until you get to know her better. Also whether she is agreeable & supportive is vastly more important for the long term.

I will not go back to her because the past failure/rejection is what motivated me to work hard and improve myself. If I go back to her, it is definitely a lack of respect on the 5 years of effort as well as experience to mature as a person.

The impt qns is how has she changed in this 5 yrs? Woman aged quickly. Did she put on weight, looks older or she maintained well?

Also I am curious she still single after rejecting u 5 yrs ago? It's not easy or normal for a woman to be single for so long if she is decent looking. I look around me all my female classmates, colleagues 100% sure attached... even my 18yo niece also got bf
