Does the police really have the authority to check your phone in public?
And i believe taking photo of girls in public is not a crime unless is upskirt or downblouse… Correct me if i am wrong…. |

Re: when sniping fail....
by right cannot. they will ask you to unlock the phone for them. if you refuse, then it's obstruction of justice. so after jumping through all the hoops that they will legally make you do, in the end they will still get the information they need.

Taking photos in public places
Organizations are exempted from the requirement to obtain consent in respect of the collection, use and disclosure of personal data that is publically available. If an individual’s photo is taken when the individual is at an event or location that is open to the public, taking a photo of that individual is likely to be regarded as a collection of personal data that is publically available, for which consent is not required. A location that is “open to the public” is one with few or no restrictions on who can enter or access the location. https://www.twobirds.com/en/news/art...on-photography The guy should have kept his cool and explain to them that he is within his rights to take photo in a public place. |
