Personally, I had tried arriving Ipoh in 5 hours, started 4.30am from home and arrive Ipoh at 9.30 (with one pee stop) and then from Ipoh is standard 3 hours. The earlier part was travelling in the region of 140-160, from Ipoh was much relaxed at around 120km/hr.
Now next is to drive to BKK solo. Only problem, is I am not sure of the paper work needed..... any advice?

Basically can be done, but a bit dangerous.... I did a 5 hours drive followed by a long rest/working in Ipoh. Then continue to Danok. I ah pek, but shouldn't be a problem for a younger and more energetic person....
The car also play a part.... BMW sure no problem, mine is not...
So must monitor and know oneself fatique level..... i know mine, once I start feeling sleepy, I stopped for 40 winks........
