This is football and lots of possession doesn't equate to winning. Every managers knew that and willing to spend money to buy goal scorers.

When Klopp was manager at Dortmund it was a poor club with debts and they had to sell their stars every season to survive. So Klopp had no choice but to rely on developing their own kids or buy unknown players.

Didi Hamann seems to think Naby Keita could do for Liverpool what N'golo Kante has done for both Chelsea and Leicester. If true, then perhaps 70m quid would be worth it to end the 27 year drought and get #19

This Lukaku seemed to be jumping from 1 club to another . Rooney going back to Everton . Liverpool transfer seemed to be not moving in the direction that Klopp wanted .

LFC submits planning application for redevelopment of Melwood
Liverpool FC has today submitted a planning application for the proposed redevelopment of the club's first-team training ground at Melwood.
The document submitted to Liverpool City Council applies for outline planning permission for the redevelopment of the Melwood site into much-needed quality family housing, which is in line with the council’s Local Plan.
The application forms part of the club’s plans to bring LFC’s first team and Academy football training operations and facilities together on one site in Kirkby.
LFC recognises that Melwood has played a significant role in the club’s history, but the site is limited in terms of space and is unable to accommodate the club’s ambitions for a new first-class combined training facility.
The planning application is expected to be determined by the council’s Planning Committee later this year.
If permission is granted, the proposed redevelopment could provide up to 160 new family homes with open space and landscaping. The planning application also seeks permission for vehicular access from Melwood Drive and Deysbrook Lane, in addition to cycle and pedestrian access from Crown Road.
Should the club be successful in obtaining planning consent, housing developers will be invited to bid to purchase and develop the site.
LFC will continue to work closely with Liverpool City Council to keep local residents and businesses updated on progress throughout the application process and any resultant development.
For more information on the proposals, local residents and businesses are invited to attend a drop-in session which will be held on Monday July 17 at West Derby Golf Club (83 Yew Tree Lane, Liverpool, L12 9HQ) from 3pm until 7pm. There will be an opportunity to view the proposed plans and speak with members of the project team.

Maybe we will play the waiting game with Naby Keita since his release clause will come into effect next summer. Any amount above 30 million is too much for this player.
Arsenal has Lacazette and Tottenham has Kane. Man Utd has Lukaku and Chelsea has Costa for now while speaking to Aubameyang and Morata.
