my personal advice is don't do it, but since you are hoping for some encouragement, i got 3 stories for you:

Don't do that bro, been there, done it. It's gonna be complicated and lots of heartaches, plenty of hiding, many Wechat contacts that you don't realise ever existed. They are mostly stuck in this ecosystem where many of their friends are MLs/FLs/Agents in HK/MY/SG/CN and you'd be really better off dating a local.
