Remitting / Internet Banking to Vietnam [tagged]

Hi Bros,

I would like to check if there is any banks in Singapore that allows us to transfer money via online banking to a bank in Vietnam.

For example, if I have a HSBC account here, will I be able to transfer money to an account in Vietnam?

I understand that alternatively I can utilize Western Union or Remittance services, but as this will be a monthly thing, it would be more convienent to transfer via online.

Thanks for the advice.

hello bro,

like u said u already know of western union or TT services ..

i think best is to go down to the bank itself and to check with the staff there.. or call the bank's hotline to check first, if u have no time ..

Hi Bro,

if this is monthly basis, why dun you open another new account and send the ATM card to Vietnam, I believe some ATM machine in vietnam accept PLUS. The bank will charge you only few dollars.

i dun think u will be able to transfer via online....n if u use remittance service,go for Money Gram.....they only impose a $10 charge....n if u use a Sillypore ATM card n withdraw, the bank will impose a $5 charge....n the max amt u can draw from a HSBC ATM in Vietnam is 4.8 mills....n the exchange rate is quite sucks....but i do heard that Citibank does not have that $5 charge thingy(u can go check it out).....but theres not a lot of Citibank ATMs...mostly r in Q.1....

hope can be of help to u....
