It depends on the severity of the report.
Mega has three levels of reports that it acts on:
1. UA material - for this, your account will be disabled immediately, and everyone (really, everyone in the world, with a mega account) with the file will get the file TOCed- wherein you still have the file online, but you can no longer download or play it anymore.
Severity: High, closedown/ takedown within 1-2 hours of report
2. Copyright material - account will be disabled, and file TOC-ed. Most porn stars nowadays choose this route to TOC their files on Mega, and to prevent sharing of their material. However, for this, Mega may refer the case to the relevant authorities, which may get both the reporter and the reportee into trouble.
Severity: Mid (due to the trouble needed to file the complete report). Closedown/ takedown within 1-2 days of reporting.
3. Porn/ objectionable material - account will be disabled, but people who have taken the file will not get TOC-ed, meaning you got chance to rebuild your collection. However, you can mitigate this by keeping your link time short, i.e keep it only within a few hours before disabling.
Severity: Low, takedown typically around 1-3 days.

R, no way to circumvent the takedown, and Mega does not care about your appeals. Best way is to disable the links after a set time, and keep changing your URLs so that by the time mega responds to a report, the link would have been long extinct.
