Yes, I would respect them as a fellow human being but pity should only come to a genuine abused some.

It is unfortunate that the world including Singapore suffers from unfair distribution of wealth and wage inequality, hence some people don't/won't earn as much as some others in their lifetime. Many women chose to work in the sex industry to improve their finances to improve their lives.

However I would pity the ones who were tricked/deceived/threatened/drugged and then smuggled and enslaved into forced prostitution. Singapore is on the watch list by US anti-trafficking authorities.

In Australia, Melbourne and Sydney are the most popular city destinations for Asian women to be trafficked to.
