My Visit to Mui Ne

Just want to pen down my recent experience to Mui Ne.
Prior to that, there are limited literature about the place for a foreigner like me.
So, maybe i can contribute by saying a few things:

We bought ticket 1 day before in HCMC in one of the tour agency for a 715am bus to Mui Ne. The ticket is around 128K VND and it is like any normal bus. The bus will dropped us at your destination hotel and it took almost 1pm to reach with 2 stops. The bus assistant sulks because he is not familiar with the hotel and dropped us with our bags in the bus. We have to hire a taxi to chase and then go to our hotel @ Sailing Bay Resort (SBR). The taxi fare is around 220K VND.

The hotel is superb and it is at the extreme end of the stretch of sea. Imagine that the entire sea side is like a "L" and SBR is at the last tip of the "L". The wind is stronger and wave is high compared to the rest of sea side.
I have been to many resorts in Phuket and Bali and I would say the landscaping is one of the best. Though it is a bit far off from the main stretch.

Mui Ne is a very quiet place compared to Phuket/Bali. Simply because they are literally no working girls and hence night scene are not as crazy as Phuket/Bali. There are just a few bars for drinking purposes. But if you like quietness and nice sea side with a good view, their seaside is anytime better than Patong/Karon beach.

Normal meal will cost you around USD 20K with some seafood. So it is much cheaper than Phuket/Bali. The SBR we stayed was less than USD 80 per night for a garden view suite. Actually the garden view suite has a garden view as well as a sea view, so this is better than a sea view suite.

Going everywhere is not too expensive but the weather is hot. The sun set around 6pm and only the 4-6pm time zone is more bearable for lazy type of people like me. We did not go much places, just laze around the resort and go town for massage and eating.

We actually found a very nice bus back to HCMC. It is around 130K and the company is called Futa Buslines. Their bus are those sleeping seats type and the actually pick us up at our resort to go to a central bus location. The bus is very comfortable hence the long journey don't feel so bad. The journey backed to HCMC took around 7 hours because it has to drop people off at a few stops.

Overall, the mui ne journey is relaxing, and not expensive compared to Phuket/Bali. If you have a girl friend and want to spend 3 days at peaceful place, this is the choice.
