hmm.. also on the point that your friend was told to keep on testing for HIV for 3 years....not to doubt you.... but i really dont think DCS is so cockup..
i have been there many time for the check up since about 3 years back and was told eery time to use 3-6 month as a guideline. 3 month being 99.5% sure ... and 6 month to be 100% sure.. never was i told to continue to test for more than a year...

The virus do not know where you stay so it doesn't matter where you get tested. The test equipment use here is exactly what they use in england, australia, hong ####, malaysia. A person testing in sillypore is not consider definitive at 3 months but his result is conclusive the moment he crosses the causeway to JB. For example, a british working in sillypore or a sillyporean working in new york, which guideline should they follow? So for people testing, it is just on who's opinion you value. whether sillypore or what the rest of the world is saying.
