and best part of all, its faster for them to type "wa" than "qua" on their favorite xnn nokia phone aka our army phone. not just it's 2 alphabet but also W can be typed with single pressing

Ya, I'm aware of this. Just like they like to use j in place of i cause j is 1 key vs 3 key for i. This thing about northern vs southern TV, I had a tough time adjusting when I got my first Hanoi girl after numerous HCM / AnGiang / Can Tho / etc girls.
