My brother bought a DBSS flat few years ago.Cost is 500k plus cos is very high level.Every month have to fock up 2k just for the house instalement.He drive a car and renovate his house until nice nice.But all instalement.So now both cannot lose job cos have to pay for expensive house,car,renovation loan and others.
Well is anybody choices,cos they choose to enjoy first and burden themselve with heavy debts where else one can choose to buy a cheap BTO,take public transport and simple renovation for their new house and in return less stress and debt.
No wonder nowadays those old folk say,theirs kids cant even support themselve and their family,then how to give them money to support them.Thats why so many old folk have to work to support themselve

agree...been trying to input this mindset to my bx..cost she has too many frens that like to compare...
i always tell her each to his/her own..if u wan to keep comparing, u will never be happy...
i also opted for 3- room bto though i could still afford 4-rm but will be a little taxing...
as for 3-rm , i can handle easily without topping up cash...so just told my bx to endure awhile b4 getting our own home...
