From my experience, northern gals are often more educated. That's the reason why you find lesser northern gals working in night spots in singapore or other countries (i mean relative to southern vietnamese gals).

Choice - choice is an important word here. 99.9% of girls have a choice. They don't have to work in a KTV. Those who do, make a choice because of the easy money (but usually, easy come easy go, but that's another story). Imho Northern girls are not more educated, and the North isn't richer than the South, so they share the same burden of poor parents to suppport; it's just that most Northern girls are more conservative than their Southern sisters.
