My disappointment with Vietnam is not so much along the commercial scene but rather the non commercial end.

I just want to encourage us to more garang and as we grow in our confidence, maybe we can really be a change agent in Vietnam social scene!
In Singapore, I have been around the scence before and I must say that you are a person who has loads of self confidence and carries one self very well in being able to attract women in general. I say these with the ut-most respect and in no way it is meant to be asarcastic remark. Lets face it, we all know how singapore women are.

Bala used to be a favourite hang out of mine way back in the says it first started out and i do agree with you that it is a most happenin place during happy hour. I has most certainly been a bountiful hunting ground for many of us.

Your observation of the "scene" here in HCMC is most certainly correct. After my few years here and just observing the scene, I must say you have hit the nail on the head.

I have met viet girls who are always more than happy to head back for "after drinks" and it has progressed to just wild sex after that but not many. However, it really depends on where you go.

For people who are based here, we have the luxury of time. For the tourist / traveller, it would be the opposite. Most times, it is just a fix or an itch that needs to be scratch.

On the flip side, this has started to change where there are more and more young ladies having a shift in mind set regarding "sexually discovering" themselves.

I have met girls who are great in bed, never ask for money but wants a realtionship which is understandle because they see expats as a way out of "poverty". I am sure you know just how wide the gap is in the standard of living and the average wage of the locals.

As for changing, I would dare say that it would be hard, there are 10 mil in HCMC where about 7 mil are ladies. There are only a few thousand of us singaporeans here.

I do sincerely and genuinly hope one day we can meet and exhange views. It would most certainly be a very very intresting conversation.
