Saving grace is that you been through this rough patch from start, and administered your own bitter medicine. Could have been worse, and you'll find it harder to get off roller coaster ride later on.
Stickman's was part of my initiation to LOS, and window to follies of farangs afflicted with WL flu. Neither are asians immune. Stephen Leather's acclaimed fiction piece is just 1, plenty others eg John Burdett let you on the insights of WL (Asia Books is a good place to browse). Not inspiring reads though..
