Your friend has nothing to worry about, if he's not withholding some facts. Visiting and patronising working girls is not an offence, unless the girl is underage or that he's an insider providing some form of service to facilitate the FL's work.

Piece of advice - ask your friend to use a phone card not registered under his name in future.
