To add, it doesn't matter what's the reason behind the cancellation. Who knows, it could be her long-term regular at the last minute wanting to book a 2-hour slot. Of course she would go for something familiar (and probably something much less demanding) over the uncertainty of taking a new client.

She has a track record of this last minute cancellation and I am glad that these comments are surfacing. Suspect she is giving reserved slots to some customer who book her out for dinners and stuffs. To me, totally unprofessional and kills the mood. She might appear to be asking permission to reschedule but it’s a lose lose situation even if customer insist not to allow.
this can happen as I was a previous regular of hers.
So what matters to her probably is who has deeper pockets willing to splurge
