Can ‘honoured’ by Juventus interest

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has admitted that he is ‘honoured’ by interest his services from Juventus.
The Italian giants are still looking to snap up the Germany international whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Liverpool have long been in negotiations with Can’s representatives, but there has been no agreement found to extend the deal which expires in the Summer of 2018.
Juventus attempted to take Can to Serie A in the Summer, but Liverpool refused to enter negotiations after rejected an offer worth around £30m from the Italians.
But his latest comments on the situation suggest that the former Bayer Leverkusen man is very much keeping his options open as he considers his future beyond the end of the current campaign.
“It’s always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club.” he said.
“Currently though I’m just focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest.
“The Premier League is just a really cool league, the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues.” he finished.
Reports have claimed that Can is looking for a release clause to be included in any new contract and the club are not prepared to accept such terms and so an impasse has been reached.
