I would to share some infor that I gathered by my own experience in hty. Feel free to add anything you guys deem fit. I'm not a good writer so bear with me.
Night spot in hatyai basically can be divided into a few types, you can choose where to cheong depending on which type suit you the best.
1. KTVs, I'm refering to the real type (not those in See Kim Yong or Channivate) that you can go inside either in the hall or separate room, choose to sing the song you like. Of course KTV have PR, for samsters who like to sit comfortably, drink and sing.
2. Pubs, Samsters would be very familiar with this type of joint from the small to big one. Most of the pub has live band performing a variety of music (thai, english or chinese song). A lot of pubs in hatyai, some of them are tourist's hot spot while the other mainly the local goes there.
3. Cafes, Hang flower joint that immediately reduce your fat wallet into a slim one.
Mainly 2 type, the local one and the PRC one. The concept is the same, singers singing on the stage hoping customers to hang flower. Difference is that the language used to communicate inside and the local one has dancers and sexy show. The PRC one is pure singing on stage.
4. Discos, For samsters who like to dance their night away. FLs is always available, preying on single guy or guys in group. Some samsters like to hunt for their lady in discos rather to get from farm. Head shakers's (local or foreign) paradise.
5. Clubs, Sexy lady in bikinis dancing, giving you a hard on instantly, live band performance also. Depending on each individual spending pattern, the damage varies. Normally the damage will be doubled (compare with cafe) because of hang flower and lady's drink. For samsters who like to cheong men's club.
6. Coffee house, Relaxing place to sit, slip some coffee (alcohol is available also) and chit-chat with friends. The least damage among all the joint. Not suitable for samsters who like to have fun.
7. Miscellanous, Sexy/Tiger show is available in hty but operating hours is until 11pm to midnite the most. Very few ppl will choose to spend their whole nite there. Local tea and coffee place, normally open air and located slightly out of town. Lounge or lobby in hotel, if you do not want to get out from your hotel at all. Many more.....
