A local Vietnamese girl above the legal age of 18 year old, can only stay with a foreigner without a valid marriage certificate during day time from 7am to 9pm upon registering with the hotel reception and deposit the ID. After 9pm the girl must leave.
For hotels that don't allow girl to live as above, the hotel allow the girl to pay for a new room and thus have free access to the hotel room as a paying guest.
The hotel don't bother which room the guest slept in or if both guests slept only in one room so long the hotel had in their registration 2 separate rooms under 2 separate names.
