If it's peak period or U're planning to book for a peak period, it can't hurt to call them and chope the hotel room first; otherwise, if suay-suay reach there and they tell u it's sold out, then it's sian 1/2...

I suppose it'll also help you to plan more effectively; you'll know straightaway via a phone call if your 1st and thereafter subsequent choice of hotel is sold out or not..
