Most welcome HTM.
Ur worry is the same as the one I expressed in my post to u.
I hv disc degen on a disc, one disc above the slipped disc but still not RED ZONE yet, so still can maintain.
But after what u said, honestly, u r rite in the fact tat since ur entering ur 50s, if u wanna do it, now's a better time than later.
Once past this age into silver age, the complications will even be at higher risk.
Not forgetting recovery rate will not be faster than now.
Too much too lose bro IMHO!
From my limited knowledge of disc degen, the older we get, the stiffer we r. Imagine ur condition in 10yrs time.
I actually visualised it bro, & I'm sorry to be honest, but I didn't like wat i saw.
Seriously, wat ever our OC says, at the end of the day, we LIVE the pain. They can only watch but never feel the pain we went thru no matter how much tears they contribute.
In total honesty, if it wasn't for my GP, whom I trust wif my life, I wud hv gone for the disc OP without a second tot.
It was my wife who constantly reminded me at the clinic tat we're suppose to go back to the GP for a second opinion, else I wud hv booked the next avail OP schedule at Mt E.
But if I was in ur shoes bro, watever who says wat, I'll just fix it.
My personal opinion only bro no offense
