There are a few things to note when u venture into TCM, Chiro or Physio. Be very careful which u select for treatment may be more detrimental than good.
I will gv u 2 cases as a guide.
1) Me
For yrs, every morning wake up, front view of my whole body in the mirror was an ARC!
Went TCM, 铁打 also for years. Temporary relieve only..but issues will come back very soon. Even relieve, not 100% but better than before.
One day it got worst, BAD. Enter car, driving halfway, walking up or down stair or plain walking, suddenly spasm attack. No shit, Family & me panicked!
Bot me a SUV so no need to climb in or out. Helped but not that much.
Finally cannot tahan, went to see GP.
Very old friend. Ask me to take X-Ray. X-Ray results out, saw the X-Rays.
Referred me to spine specialist at Mt E.
Went to spine specialist n ask me cross the road to Paragon to take whole back MRI immediately.
2 days later went back for review:
Spine specialist confirm Slipped Disc. L4/L5/S1
Suggest operation to replace the 2 affected discs. Est cost of surgery approx 80k.
Went back to GP, GP advised me against surgery as it is commercial plus has side effects n only an option if everything else out there has been tried.
Referred me to the physio.
After less than 2mths till today, I live a 100% normal life with no more attacks, curved body or spasms anymore.
2) My Mother In law
Believer in TCM. Has a lump on her ankle joint for over 10yrs!
Has gone for those 铁打, acupuncture the whole nine yards for yrs.
Always hv that chinese med koyok wrapped around her ankle after every session.
The lump never went down!
After I experienced this physio, I brought her there. 2 sessions later, the lump GONE! Totally.
4 sessions later, no need to go back liao.
Xrays, Ultra Sound n MRI show trauma damage to her joint, suspect caused by continuous trauma from TCM & 铁打
In conclusion, do note, CHIROPRACTICS are not recognised in the medical fraternity whereas PHYSIOTHERAPY is!
