[LonelyMalaysian]

At school the next day, it was pretty boring. There's nothing much to do as it's the last day of school, so the teachers allowed us to do whatever we want as long as we're not making too much noise (this is common in Malaysia after the final examinations). While most of my classmates were there playing monopoly, cards, bottlecaps, I was just sitting there and staring at Liz. My sweet girl, I thought to myself.

The school bell rang. Everybody bid each other goodbye as the long school holidays start. Liz looked straight into my eyes and smiled. What was she being so happy about? We waited for everyone to leave the class before I walked up to her table.

M: "Hey Liz.."
Liz: "Hey.. So what's so important until you have to speak to me in person ah?"
M: *silence*
Liz: "So? I can't sit here whole day leh. Later my mom is coming to pick me up la. Faster tell."
M: "Walao.. You sabar (be patient) a bit can anot? It's not easy for me leh." (it's my first time confessing to a girl, afterall)
Liz: "Not easy? What you mean?"
M: "Actually, as you've probably heard bout these rumours for the past year or two, they're all true."
Liz: "What rumours?"
M: "...you act stupid meh..Rumours about me liking you lah. "
Liz: "...Oh. So that's what this is all about?"
M: "Erm, yeah.. and actually I don't know how you feel about me, but I would still love to maybe ask you to go for a movie during the holidays?"
Liz: "You mean like a date?"
M: "...Well if you put it that way... Yes I suppose?"
Liz: "Hmm.. I don't know.."
M: "You don't know? This doesn't sound very good to me.." (I was pretty sure she was gonna say no. I mean, who would date me? Fuckup liao lo this time. She's gonna avoid me already after this)
Liz: "No no. I mean.. I don't know when I'll be able to go out with you.." (She got my heart from broken to jumping for joy within 10 secs! Damn you, lady)
M: "Eh, don't worry! As long as it's during the holidays and it's convenient for you, anytime also can lah."
Liz: "Ok.."

I sat there in silence, not knowing what else to say. What now? The girl of my dreams agreed to go out with me already. I should be happy, rite?

Liz: "I'll SMS you later lah. My mom's here already. Bye!"
M: "Oo, ok ok bye."

It was a brighter day for me already, of course. She just said yes, what more can I ask for? I watched as she stood up, and left. Damn those racks.. tightly wrapped in her pinafore..

I went to a nearby cyber cafe after that with my friend who was waiting for me at the canteen. John is like my brother from another mother. We've been close friends since sec 1, and we've pretty much spent most of our time and money together during schooldays, doing absolutely useless things. After school every single day we frequent cyber cafes, shopping malls and we do what we love the most; eat.

At the cyber cafe, I was greeted by a familiar face. Yuri was fresh out of SPM at 17, and she's working part time there as a cashier.
