The "adding and subtracting" of points on a certain individual's posting, is TIME-BOUND (within 3 days), otherwise upon expiry, you can't do adding and subtracting points to the "beneficiary / victim".
The "balance scale" icon only exists on posts that are still valid for anyone, with POWER, to add or subtract points...nothing to do with "long time did not post" thingy.
