The Newbie's Guide to Swinging

Hi fellow Bros, Sis and Swingers

Every so often, we receive mails and PMs with questions on the swinging lifestyle. While we're no experts, we have had more than our fair share of experiences - from slowly edging out and finding our feet, to really enjoying the freedom of expression the lifestyle can generate.

And of course, we've met many great couples - both married (like ourselves) and not - of different backgrounds and personalities. Thankfully we've had more ups than downs so far *touch wood - if you know what I mean ;))

So, while this is in no way a definitive guide, we've decided to put down a couple of terminologies and a small reference guide for those finding their feet. And experienced swingers do feel free to add and share as well.

(Un)Definitive Definitions:
  • Orgy: A group having sexual fun together - irregardless of gender make-up. Swinging and Gangbangs are a form of Orgies
  • Swing: Partners required. General rule - Guys come with partners. Single ladies are usually allowed.
  • Gangbang: Usually ration of guys to gals is at least 2:1.

Labels:

One of the most confusing things that we had trouble keeping up with were the different labels and levels of swingers. It's always good to determine the particular label of the couples and communicate clearly to avoid any sort of unpleasant misunderstandings. Here are some of the common ones.

Soft Swinging:
  • Popcorn: Just sit and watch others
  • SRS: Same room sex - no touching
  • No Oral: Touching allowed. But oral only to own partner.
  • ABP: Anything but penetration. Guys... your "little (or not so little) explorer" can only journey into your partner's secret garden. No free trade agreement to enter into the other. Or even touch the gates. Oral is OK.

Hard/Full Swing: Let's have fun! :D

Labels can sometimes blur in definition and cross over between each other... so clear and proper communication always recommended to avoid disappointment or any unpleasantness.

Meet-ups:

Meet-ups can be arranged for drinks/coffee for a chat session before any play or some arrange for play straightaway. It's a personal preference.

Locations can vary from budget to 5 star hotels, apartments or for some... cars (uh.. not our thing).

Meet-ups can come in the form of 1-1 meet-ups or group events and parties.
  • 1-1: Nothing much to be said. Both parties arrange among yourselves.
  • Group hosted events: Location is provided for by a gracious host. Turn up and enjoy yourselves.
  • Group Cost sharing parties: Cost of location, booze and others shared between everyone. A common arrangement.

Other terms:

BYOB: Bring your own Booze
BYOC: Bring your own Condoms
BYOT: Bring your own Towels

Points to note:
  • Be respectful. No need for overly rude remarks or comments.
  • Be honest to your partner - and the other couple/s.
  • No RAW - unless its a common understanding between all parties.
  • If it's not in the same room it's not swinging.

........ and finally HAVE FUN!

* To all experienced swingers feel free to post your advice, and newbies your questions *

To reiterate on the term POPCORN, it's cool as long as the participants allowed Popcorns. But it's mutual respect to be at least naked while watching the rest in actions. Be mindful, stick to the zoo if u wanna watch live naked acts and still remain fully clothed.

Do ask questions for clarifications. But not big boo boo like, hey, my gal is not able to make it, can I join u guys for a MMF first? Ya Right! (can't say the same if it's MFF... Hah..)
Communication on likes and dislikes, dos and don'ts is very important. And be honest with the Hosts or organizers.

Do have the basic courtesy to inform the participants in advance for uneventful code red and not wait till all the participants had arrived. EsPecially if it's hard swinging that we r talking about.

All in all, chemistry within couples plays the most pivotal roles as it will make or break a swing.

There r simply too many don'ts in swing but at the end of the day, we r all mature adults, be genuine. Don't ever try to pull a fast one...

Hi Bro

Well swinging is generally for couples. Bringing a FL as your partner is generally frowned upon. It's not that single guys can't get into the scene it's just that it's technically not "swinging"

From experience while it is not impossible for a single guy to attend, its very very unlikely. Now single guys can get action by either hosting (the place had better be special and not some budget hotel).

Alternatively get selected for a gangbang where you can generally expect more guys to gals. If there are a whole lot more guys.... You might just have to wait your turn.

That said.... Having a partner greatly increases your chances for an invite.

Hi bro Skinhead72

Hope you found the guide helpful. Well I could share how we got started... But I think this will be more my Mrs' forte (Lady CC).

I'm sure she'll be happy to share once she knocks off from work.

Sometimes it helps if you meet up with another couple to just talk and exchange experiences. It does help to ease others in.

So far we've met quite a few couples who had questions on how the scene is and it helps to make it a little easier. Especially, if it is a woman sharing experiences with another.

Hope this helps :)
