1. How to get around there?? Cab?? they go by meter?? I m stayin at Xin yin ze htl. its an 2.5 star hotel as stated by the travel agency??

2. Any place of interest?? Other than the ktv n teahouse.

3. Any recommendation of good, cheap hotel?? coz i onli book tat hotel for 2 nites still got 2 more nites dunno stay where yet.

4. How much is the rate for bookin a gal overnite??

Ya by cab, if u want bus also can....but cab not that ex there. All cabs are by meter, it is a law there, but u want u can pay him a fix rate to bring u around Xiamen. 99% will use meter, if the cab driver demand a sum rather than using meter, if u r mean u can ask him to drive u to the nearest police station... else just ignore him, cabs are plenty in Xiamen.

1) Gu Lang Yu... very beautiful island.
2) U can take a ferry that will take u to the strait between Jinmen (Taiwan) and Xiamen.
3) Take a cab, n ask him to drive u along Huan Dao lu...
4) Nan Pu Tuo Shi, a very famous temple in Xiamen... u can visit the temple n climb the mountain.. this is defintely higher than our bukit timah hill.
5) Shopping in Zhongshan lu.

The best n I always advice my friends when they going Xiamen, Bei Fang Bin Guan. It's a 2 stars hotel abt 180RMB a night. But I suggest u spend 2 nights in Fuzhou. Ask the cab driver drive u to Bei Fang Bin Guan, n on the right of the hotel, he can c an office selling coach ticket. A coach leaves for Fuzhou every hour. It will take u 4 hrs to reach Fuzhou. I been to Fuzhou abt 3 times, n everything there is cheaper but less developed.

Honestly speaking, I feel that choing KTV at Xiamen is not so great nor fun compared to Shanghai, Shenzhen or Zhuhai. The rooms are less lavish, gals generally not as pretty and they are not so well groomed. Also the local gals are a lot less pretty than those from other provinces. Costs may be slightly cheaper though... aboout 20%. Pubs and discos are comparable to what can be found in other 2nd tier cities.

What Xiamen has to offer though, are its famous Fa Lang (Hair dressing shops), cheap and good massages, hair washes and foot reflexology.

If single, chionging the fa langs can be quite an experience. There are plenty of gals to choose from, its really cheap but dont expect much Kamcheng. Just go enjoy but bear with the run-down conditions.

If attached to PRC gf then it can be quite nice place to visit and the experience is quite different. Nice food, relatively nice weather and reasonably priced.

Been to Xiamen about 6-7 times for work and pleasure. Just thought of sharing my 2 cents worth of an overall perspective so that fellow brothers can better place their hard earned money strategically.
