To me, it's always the character then looks. How beautiful a person can charm me, if his/her character sucks that's it.
In contrast, most of my friends IMHO are pretty/handsome to me because they have great characters.

To me, personality and character always comes before beauty. Because you can improve on your looks but it's very hard to change your character.

ACBG, first impression is always appearance as humans are visual creatures. men are definitely more visual than women.

you will only get to know a person if they have a decent first impression to you. you friends look pretty/handsome to you but they're not together with you because you friendzoned them.

you are right about improving one's looks. so yea, in the long run, the end product of good personality/character with improved looks is definitely better than super hot person with fucked up personality. the question is whether one has the discipline/money/means to improve his/her looks.

I agree with you. First impression counts. A LOT. Humans are judgmental. The auntie i encountered this morning looked at me and shot me the Look of Disdain and sending the message "OMG what a slut. What a disgrace that she is revealing her cleavage!" But i think she's just jealous of me. I was in sports attire, that's all.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't judge a person's look when I first met someone new. I rather start judging his character from the way he speaks, how he carry himself and the way he treats others. Appearance is as long as presentable (not unkempt, messy, no personal grooming kind) I don't think it should be judged.
