Ah Heng Duck Rice | Ah Heng does a traditional Teochew-style #duckrice that is virtually similar to the famous Heng Gi Goose and Duck Rice at Tekka Centre. It has the same herbal dark soy-based sauce done with a thin consistency, with a beautifully intense flavour that is perfect when eaten with plain rice. The duck liver is meltingly good and the tau kwa (firm beancurd) have a lovely soft texture. However, the tenderness of the meat could be more consistent. The slightly herbal soup on the side makes for a good finisher. Uncle Yang from heng gi supposedly help set up this stall but he hasn't been around in years so this Rumour can't be confirmed
