Wow SG bros give PRC so big business until it's worth a joint op? Hard to believe, SG so small population in comparison, how big is the market here? Probably the police just want to amp up their achievements a bit with some exaggerations because year end bonus approaching.

Just start fining/charging customers like us who patronize MLs also, and the number will reduce greatly already. This in turn would cause MLs find it much more difficult to survive and no one will want to come here anymore.

I believe this is the case in some european countries. Customers are also charged under the law. But their experience is that this law just drives the whole activity deeper underground where it is harder to detect. SG precisely allows legal prostitution in GL to keep it all above board and easily monitored. The same logic is extended to FLs and their operators. Once a while raid here and there but never totally drive them into hiding. The country's founding leaders had a very practical view in this policy. Let's hope the 4g are equally practical and level-headed.

Then again how to consumer ensure the MLs are legal with licence?

Only visit joint with licence hanging out at the entrance of the door?

Or only allow to visit legal houses at geylang which majority of married guys or attached guys will never do it.

Major news it seems cos this is the supply chain. Illegal DVDs used to find their way here as well till the authorities made it air tight. But DVDs also died because of evolving technology: torrents and online streaming killed it eventually. It will take more than raids to stop human trafficking
