Managed to walk around a little during the weekend, despite a stiff neck. Didn't really see that many bbs as mentioned here in earlier posts. Wonder if it's due to "clean-up" for Olympics last year. Only saw a few bbs in some small residential areas, inside the small lanes (like a maze / puzzle). But would give a miss to those I see, as quality is not to my liking. Or maybe I just didn't walk to the correct streets.

Saw lotsa saunas around though, especially along 湖滨南路。

Tea houses, saw quite a few too, especially helping a foreigner colleague ask about the way they charge & services they provide. Saw some gems, but I personally haven't been to one myself, didn't know anything about it & haven't read up the info on tea houses at that time, so didn't go into any of them. But based on the price, we'd rather go to a sauna for full service, we feel saunas have better rooms & facilities than those tea houses, and direct to the point. I think at most, we can only rubba the girls inside the room in the tea house, which my friend is not so interested. It's also not convenient for my colleague to ON, cos he's a foreigner, doesn't speak Mandarin at all, not to mention Min Nan, and he's sharing the company apartment with other colleagues.

Haven't gone to Marco Polo Hotel area yet, though based on the info I gathered in this thread, the KTVs, saunas and pubs / discos seem to be the most popular around.

Also strange about me is, I haven't gone to the discos / pubs yet! Collected some info on discos / pubs based on the 52 pages of postings, but I'm somewhat confused especially with the location of Honey.

Several discos such as 时空隧道、星座 (I believe aka KK) and YOYO are along 嘉禾路，with KK and YOYO very near to each other, while 时空隧道 is a little distance away on the same big street. But for Honey, 1 posting said it's opposite KK, another posting said it's near 金樽 KTV, or 823 厦禾路, though on the same road, it's still quite a distance from KK & YOYO. 厦禾路 is quite a long road. I took about 2 hours to walk from 松柏路 to 天红商场，and then along 嘉禾路 to 厦禾路 / 湖滨西路、国际美食街 (禾祥西路)。

Try Lujiang Bing Guan. It just at the start of Zhingshan Rd which is good cos its quite convenient. Rooms are clean and the food there aint too bad either. Used to stay there when I cheong all nighters. Too bad Im not in XM anymore.:(

Lujiang Bing Guan is clean, but the rooms are very small and is not girl friendly. At least when I was there, my girls were stopped from going up with me unless they register. The hotel is not cheap, and can be considered expansive for the rooms they have.

Cannot remember exactly the name of the road, but it is the one at the corner of a row of building, and when you stand outside the hotel, you can see Gu Lang Yu island. It is the one near the sea front, and if you cross the road, you can go to the jetty/port.

Ya I remember wrongly. I still remember talking to you or someone on this Lujiang Hotel where the FL standing around. Yes it is near the port. The 1 I posted n deleted is Lushan Hotel in junction of xia he n lian hua lu. :D

Yes, Brother, you spoke to me about Lujuang Hotel about the FL standing around. The standard of this hotel has dropped and the security guards are really nasty.

Good that u r still going strong... Has been about 2 yrs since I last stepped into China... I miss the xiao long nu there. :D

Haha, I tried to get rid of the part of the job that requires me to travel to China, but I could not. I am stuck in this job for some time. In fact, I am leaving this week end for Xiamen and then to other places. I am at my advanced age, and want to rest now.

At the present moment, the Girl friendly factor must take a reduction. Hotels such as Lu Jiang Hotel is never a girl friendly hotel. My 2 cent worth.
