After graduating from a local poly with an engineering diploma and completed ns decided to go overseas for further studies. Now I've been there for about a week. Nothing much happen as I'm still trying to get used to life there. What you were saying were just hypothesis of the possibility, so it may not be true. In my case, I choose to reject H0 and go for H1 for both your statements.

Whether is she rich or not had nothing to do with where she study. It is not a Universal reason that all rich asses go far for their studies. Maybe her parents or her don't wish to be too far from home. Since from Aust back to NZ is very near, she can choose to travel back home more often or for her parents to visit her! This is just one of the many possibilities.

Same for the white students you mentioned, the cert that they want to get may be in the Uni that's near to them. If the country's Uni offers good cert, why go so far away? Of course, what you mentioned may be true but it definitely don't stand for all.
